A Special Message from Pastor Paul

This weekend was a “Game Changer” for Crossroads. If you missed this weekend's services, please click below to watch a video of this important message. If you consider Crossroads your church home, I really encourage you to make the time to watch this special service.

Everything we’ve did during our "Game Changer” series led us to this historic moment. With a unified staff and church council, we announced the news that Crossroads will be partnering with Echo.Church to have a greater impact for Christ. We have been processing this decision for close to a year, and as a result, we will be combing our staff, leadership, resources, and people to proclaim the Gospel. And the result of this will make us way more effective in accomplishing our vision. We know that God is calling us to be “Better Together.”

This major change is sure to bring up many questions about the future of our church. Questions like: When will this happen? What about our current staff? What will this look like? How will the church change? What will our church name be? As you pray and process, I want to personally invite you to attend one of our three informational Q&A meetings, led by myself and Echo’s Senior Pastor, Andy Wood, where you'll have the opportunity to learn more about the merge and ask any questions you may have.

I am confident that this partnership is going to positively impact the spiritual climate of the whole Bay Area in a big way. I am so humbled and happy that God is allowing us in our lifetime to be a part of something so special.

The Future of Our Hayward Campus

Dear Church Family,

We are SO PROUD of our Hayward campus and the ministry team there. They have been under-resourced from the beginning, but that has not stopped them from serving their hearts out. We have seen baptisms, and so much spiritual growth and maturity in the team. There is a spirit of love among the team that is contagious.

Unfortunately, ministry takes money, and we don’t have the funds to hire a pastor and secure a better facility to meet in right now. The housing boom has led many of our families to leave the area. The lawsuit with our building contractors has dragged out 3 years.

So with great reluctance and sadness, we are putting the Hayward campus on pause for the time being. We believe that Hayward and the surrounding area desperately needs a church like Crossroads. Please be in prayer for our Hayward sisters and brothers. They love the Lord, each other, and Hayward, and their hearts are heavy. We need them to join us in Fremont as we work to regain momentum in leading seekers to love Christ, love others, and live life on purpose.

We are exploring some exciting options to strengthen the church, to enable us – with God’s help - to move forward carrying out our vision. Our goal is to press play and relaunch a campus in Hayward in 2021, with a new campus pastor, a new location, and a team of over 100 old and new partners! Please join us in prayer for the Hayward area, that God would open doors for us to resume His ministry there.

The last weekend service in Hayward (for now) will be Sunday, July 28. We will celebrate what God has done there and also honor our Directors Team at the 10am service in Fremont on Sunday, August 4.

Thank you to all who faithfully tithe and give to the Lord through Crossroads! If you haven’t joined in worshipping God and investing in His work through giving yet, pray about what God would have you to do. Your faithful giving matters now more than ever.

With love to you, our church family and partners in ministry,

Paul and Dwayne
